Event past

Past results: I’ve never attended a weekend warrior. Blenheim will be the first. 2 days to do as many sprint triathlons as I can. In 2015 I did the Blenheim Super Sprint triathlon in 55 minutes and 52 seconds, finishing 4th. And in 2019, I went for the Blenheim Sprint triathlon, in 1 hour 19 minutes and 50 seconds, and an honourable 8th place finishes in my age category.

Event goals

  1. Do 7 or more
  2. enjoy
  3. top 10 finish

Event details

The Blenheim Palace Triathlon, widely regarded as UK’s most stunning triathlon, combines a world-class event experience, with beautiful scenery and a family day out.

Set in the beautiful private grounds of Blenheim Palace, this is one of the country’s most iconic races and definitely, one everyone should tick off their list! Each year, it welcomes over 7,000 participants of all ages and abilities to swim, bike, and run around this spectacular route.

The idyllic lake swim and closed road course make this a great race for newcomers to the sport looking to take on a challenge. And you definitely won’t be alone – 1 in 3 of our 2019 participants were first-timers!

The event offers a choice of distances: Super Sprint, Sprint, Sprint Team Relay, and the Weekend Warrior.

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the definition of a Weekend Warrior is a person who does a particular activity (such as sport) only on the weekends. However, the Blenheim Palace Triathlon meaning is somewhat different…

‘A person of great ambition, not satisfied with the achievement of taking part in the challenge of one triathlon but wanting to push their body to the limit and complete as many triathlons as they possibly can, on one weekend’.

In 2020, the Blenheim Weekend Warrior record was broken by Stephen Mott who completed a staggering 11 back-to-back Sprint triathlons in one weekend. What an incredible performance!

This is a first for me and I’m not sure how many I could do. Stay tuned for the results in September …
